With the day one update, or "Crown Update", sections of the guide have been rendered useless. Now, I'm not blaming Piggyback at all, they've even went as far as releasing a free PDF file with changes/additions. No, the blame for that rests on Square & the gaming industry as a whole, and the need to ship games ASAP even if they're incomplete. Day one patches should not be a normal occurrence. But anyways, I'm getting off track.I'm still playing thru FFXV and haven't used the majority of the walkthru section, so I can not comment on that yet. However, sections like Fishing & Cooking are the most incomplete, again because of the update. Cooking only lists 46 recipes instead of 105. Fishing sections list 40 fish instead of 100. The Lure info is highly lacking, and one will spend hours fishing incorrectly if one does not use the free update. I know, it happened to me.Another thing I've noticed is that some of the maps are different compared to the in game map and it becomes even more noticeable when running around looking for items. My brother suggested that maybe the book maps are based off the minimap, which indeed looks different from the low-res world map.Sadly, I wouldn't recommend this at all, no matter how awesome the hardback looks & feels. High quality pages, not cheap & thin paper like, for example, the World of Final Fantasy guide from Prima. Doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart or break the binding when I use it. It's definitely one of the better hardback guides I've bought. I just wish Piggyback would offer a reprint and maybe a trade-in for a guide that included the day one patch stuff.Until this gets a new version, stick to gamefaqs.com.EDIT 12/11/2016: Sadly, after very careful occasional usage the binding has broke. I don't know whether to rate this a 2 or 1 star now.

Excellent guide for a GREAT game! I chose this version over the paperback one because I am a massive Final Fantasy XV fan and just had to have it. The hardcover version here is of such great quality. Don't let the news of new patches and addendums to this guide keep you from grabbing this guide now at a tremendously good price. The new material will be free to download when it arrives to supplement this guide and it's been stated that there WILL NOT be another printing of this hardcover premium version. So grab it now!

I pre-ordered this along with the game.I usually buy every Final Fantasy guide book for a few reasons. They help me through confusing spots on what I'm supposed to do (I don't like to google it because of all the possible spoilers). Then the biggest reason I invest in them is the artwork! I have collected from FF8 to this one, minus online games. They are all so gorgeous to look through just to see the much detailed talented artist's work.This book actually has less, much less of those detailed artwork type pictures I love.I do like what this book has to offer and don't regret my purchase of it though.Just a few details I don't like:There are too many tiny screen shots per page. Reading what you need to know far outweighs the need for most of them anyways. You can't see what half of them are or there is really nothing important in them. Save the space to MAKE THE PRINT BIGGER! This one is making my eyes hurt! The next thing is that dang Beastiary......I couldn't use that thing if I wanted to!. I have noticed a decline on that part of the books over the years and this one is the worst! Again, I like seeing the art of these wonderful creatures....and be able to actually read their weakness if I am stuck dying over and over! LOLSo next, if you haven't heard....there's this MASSIVE update as soon as you load the game up!They made so many changes aftermarket that they weren't included in this book. However, if you go to Piggyback's website, there is a PDF download to correct the book with the new changes. I actually printed the 20 pages out on cardstock (front and back 10 pgs) so it won't get tore up from years of use. Our whole family is into FF games and tend to replay games later on over again or go back to an older game to do harder things. So good quality books are a must for that reason. This version of the newer books has had GREAT improvements and has been able to take more abuse than the others (not that we throw it around lol).I have already worn out the map!! I use it every time I play....hard to see, but still SOOOO worth it! I am doing my own thing so far mostly. Chapter 4 in the main story line and already level 37 with 30+ quests completed and lost count of the hunts. So yea, I LOVE to explore and this map, that comes only with this version of the book, has already been worn out by just me! It's been extremely helpful!!!Other than that, I think the 3 top reviews do a great job (including the video!!) at explaining this book. I would most definitely purchase it again!!!Thank You and.....GAME ON!

The initial pre-order release copy is literally miss 3 1/2 chapters. They're pretty easy to figure out though. It's chapters 6 through 8. During those chapters I was initially mad since I didn't know the easiest way or the good gear to get. Did i miss a lot of stuff? I probably did. After contacting the company, they recommended I reach out to Amazon. By the time this all went down, I was already out of the missing chapter area and didn't want to go through any hassle. It's a fluke and it sucks it happened but past that the guide is a great resource to the game. Some things are difficult to figure out and descriptions can be extremely vague at times for side quests. I'd recommend getting it if your looking for a strategy guide though.

Such an excellent guide!! It's perfect for the main story line and side quests (which there are a ton of) and contains a PLETHORA of information on the beasts, creatures, characters, weapons, etc. It also provides detailed maps and routes for "dungeons", which definitely has come in handy. I just wish with some of the minor side quests (like the road side assistance ones) that they at least gave you an area to search in. Overall though, definitely a top notch guide.

Nicely organized information to help get things done in the game. I liked to character bonus content. I love the included world map, I have used it the most since I generally enjoy figuring as much as I can on my own. However, when I need help, this is great.
