Sir Michael Barber has been chief education advisor at Pearson since September 2011 and is the founder of Delivery Associates. In 2001, he founded the Prime Minister s Delivery Unit in No10, Downing Street, which he ran until 2005. In this role he was responsible for ensuring delivery of the government's domestic policy priorities across health, education, crime reduction, criminal justice, transport and immigration. The sustained focus on delivery from the heart of government, and the processes the PMDU developed, were a significant innovation in government, of interest to numerous other countries and global institutions such as the IMF and the World Bank. Tony Blair described the PMDU as utterly invaluable. From 2005 to 2011 he was a partner at McKinsey and Company where he played a leading role in creating a public sector practice and founded the global education practice. In 2009 he founded, in Washington DC, the Education Delivery Institute, a not-for-profit organisation that works with more than a dozen US States to apply systematic delivery approaches to improving outcomes in schools and public higher education. Since 2009, on behalf of the British government, he has visited Pakistan over 30 times to oversee a radical and, so far, successful reform of the Punjab education system. He is the author of numerous books and articles, such as "How to Run a Government "published by Penguin" "in 2015 and "Instruction to Deliver (Methuen 2008)", which tells the story of his time in Downing Street, and was described by the Financial Times as one of the best books about British government for many years. "Deliverology 101" is the textbook on how to deliver in government and was written as the curriculum for the Education Delivery Institute.

About the Author Professor George Paxinos, AO (BA, MA, PhD, DSc) completed his BA at The University of California at Berkeley, his PhD at McGill University, and spent a postdoctoral year at Yale University. He is the author of almost 50 books on the structure of the brain of humans and experimental animals, including The Rat Brain in Stereotaxic Coordinates, now in its 7th Edition, which is ranked by Thomson ISI as one of the 50 most cited items in the Web of Science. Dr. Paxinos paved the way for future neuroscience research by being the first to produce a three-dimensional (stereotaxic) framework for placement of electrodes and injections in the brain of experimental animals, which is now used as an international standard. He was a member of the first International Consortium for Brain Mapping, a UCLA based consortium that received the top ranking and was funded by the NIMH led Human Brain Project. Dr. Paxinos has been honored with more than nine distinguished awards throughout his years of research, including: The Warner Brown Memorial Prize (University of California at Berkeley, 1968), The Walter Burfitt Prize (1992), The Award for Excellence in Publishing in Medical Science (Assoc Amer Publishers, 1999), The Ramaciotti Medal for Excellence in Biomedical Research (2001), The Alexander von Humbolt Foundation Prize (Germany 2004), and more.

As a professional engineer, he has completed projects and assignments for at least 50 different agencies and consulting firms world-wide. He is a member of 12 professional societies and served as Editor of the ASCE Journal of Hydraulic Engineering. He has delivered numerous keynote addresses at international conferences. Anita Johnston, Ph.D. (www.DrAnitaJohnston.com) is Director of the Anorexia & Bulimia Center of Hawaii which she co-founded in 1982, Clinical Director and Founder of ‘Ai Pono Eating Disorders Programs in Honolulu, and Senior Advisor and Clinical Consultant for Focus Center for Eating Disorders in Tennessee. A therapist recommended this book to me. I honestly had a difficult time going through the first few pages because this book really hits the heart like no other. It's as if she knows what's going on in my head. Of course, it's not to overgeneralize...yet at the same time, this book is something I feel is necessary for me right now.As I mentioned in the title, it touches a VERY sensitive part of the heart.I don't want to even look at it, I don't want to deal with it, and I don't want to keep crying when I think about it.At the same time, this book will politely beckon me to do so - so I can face it, deal with it, and accept it.I highly recommend for those who experience challenging, almost destructive, relationships with food & body image.I am still on the journey - and I can't read too many pages at once. Sometimes, I just end up breaking down inside and out.

This has been a transformational book for me. I have both the kindle version, which I read years ago and loved, as well as the audible version, which I have listened to three times and I would absolutely recommend. This is one of those rare books that transforms you as you read (or, especially, listen to). I struggled with on-and-off bulimia for over 20 years and, while I haven't purged in several years, the mindset is still something I have carried with me. I am finally beginning to acknowledge my feelings and preferences and ideas - my perceptions are important and valid, even if others don't see them or agree. I have always been a people pleaser, melding my personality to suit whomever I was with. This book has helped me to gently see how to change that and how to validate not only my opinions and feelings, but others', too. She says that every person she has ever worked with has had to find her voice and learn to be assertive in order to overcome their eating disorder, and that is certainly true of me. I find that I have no need for food when I acknowledge my feelings and accept them. I am learning to pay attention to my dreams and am learning about myself through them. There are so many gems in this book. It may sound funny that learning by metaphor would have any practical application for recovery, but I have found it SO much more effective than the books that give you checklists of behavior modification and homework assignments. I love myself more, I validate myself more, and in so doing, I love others more and respect their boundaries, because I am setting my own. Buy this book - it is a gentle, loving approach to understanding why you have this disordered eating - it's the best you knew how to do at the time. And now you can learn to love yourself into new behavior that naturally evolves because you are addressing the underlying needs that went unmet before. Buy it!!

If you're looking for a book that just tells you how to not have eating disorder symptoms, this is not the book for you! This book is for those who are looking for healing--TRUE, DEEP, REAL HEALING. I read this book in less than a day. Now I'm going back through it more slowly to take it all in. This is the first eating disorder book I have read (and I have read MANY) that talks about healing from an eating disorder. It isn't about whose symptoms are worse or yet another depressing memoir. This author uses metaphors, stories, analogies to reach your deeper psyche. It's an enjoyable read, yet a deep read. Look at her website for an example called The Log (www.dranitajohnston.com). I can't suggest this book enough.

I encountered this book when my relationship with food reached a peak of dysfunction. I went to a therapist, and in our first session she recommended this book. As soon as I started the book, I began to cry. It resonated with deep seated feelings that I had carried for a long time. I continued to cry as I read this book chapter by chapter, night after night. The book helped me see my dysfunctional eating in an entirely different way— that food was not the real problem, it was a “red herring.” The real problem was my relationship with my emotions, with myself, with others, and with the world around me. This beautifully written book with its many relevant fables helped give me perspective on the issues that I faced. I continued to turn to it as high levels of stress or emotion led to dysfunctional eating. I also very much appreciated Johnston's feminist perspective and her challenges to Western norms.I still struggle with disordered eating, but now I have so many more tools to help cope— both from this book and through therapy. I know this journey will continue for some time and I must continue to face the “tiger” of my relationship with food.

I was only in the first chapter when this book started opening my eyes. If you'e ready to read something like this, if you want to know the real reasons why you eat the way you do then this is the book for you. I obsess over every calorie that goes into my mouth, I think about food all the time, because I have to control it, or it will control me. Or so I thought. This book made me see that food and my relationship with it already controls me. In our society we are taught that there is only one ideal, one perfect body and yet less than 4% of women have that body and yet almost every one of us strives for it when it is impossible. Who tells us how we should look? Men. It's not a male bashing book at all but you have to realize that we live in a male dominated society and everything and I do mean everything stems from that. As long as we let other people control our minds and how we feel about ourselves, our lives are not our own.A powerful book, if you're ready it will help you change your relationship with food.

Great book, tons of information. I just love to pick up this book and read a section for five or ten minutes. I do agree with the reviewers who did not think there were enough photographs. After all, what is a travel guide without lots of beautiful photos of the featured place. Hard to miss with Lonely Planet, they consistently have the best travel books on the market.

Thorough travel guide for Australia. Useful in planning a trip and a good resource when there. Book is large in size (2 inches thick) which isn't the best if traveling with only carry-ons and backpacks.

My wife and I spent a month touring Australia earlier this year. It's such a huge country, it's difficult to figure out what to see, even in a month. This book was a great help in planning our trip and we weren't disappointed with any of the choices we made, based upon this book's information and advice. Great resource for planning a visit to a lovely country with wonderful, friendly people! Highly recommended.

This was not my typical reading venture but I thoroughly enjoyed this work.Prince writes from a rostrum of wisdom clothed with the swagga of a southern uncle. It was his business dealings and the conspiracies that surrounded him-still at a relatively young age-that captured my attention. With a life such as his, you get the feeling he writes with 'necessary omissions'. What is stated is intelligently woven into the fabric of the book and J.Prince still leaves you with enough informational gems for you to ruminate on.If you ever wanted to understand what the axiom 'Chess not Checkers' truly looks like while trying to apply to real life situations and circumstances... look no further!

I grew up in poverty in the hood just like j prince but not in Houston instead Miami but regardless of what city in America you are from poverty is just poverty, it sucks and it is truly depressing ! And to see how he made it out and never forget those still struggling and gave back too many from his neighborhood a second chance at life should be an inspiration for many others.

Great Book, Amazing Read from the Godfather of Rap. Definitely worth the read, I read in just a few hours.I had several laughs along the way and James Prince gives some insight to life principles that many couldlearn a lot from. Learning about his relationship with God was insightful.

This has been by far the most inspiring bio of a black entrepreneur that I’ve ever read. Growing up on the south side of Chicago i was introduced to J. Prince’s legend through the streets. After reading his story he’s truly placed himself in my opinion as one of the greatest business minds this country has ever seen! But he’s an even greater humanitarian and servant of God!! Much respect J. Prince!!!!!!!!

This is one of the more interesting reads I've come across in a long time. I loved this story. And anyone, especially a man raising children need some of the lessons chronicled in J. Prince's story. I recommend it to all.

I gave this book 3 out 5 stars because in my opinion it wasn't a true biography. It was more like a book filled with major key stories from his life. One minute he's 34 the next he's 11 the next he's 23. It was more business than personal. And I expect more personal in a biography. I will say his faith carried him through and helped him in a lot of business situations. Because he honestly doesn't seem like a good business man. People just fear him.

As an 18 year old aspiring entrepreneur this book reached me in many positive ways. Thank you James
